About Saplings Begin

Our Organisation

  • We are a  small social care workforce supporting people with disability to access woodlands mainly based in Broxbourne, Brickendon and surrounding areas.

  • Our team is made up of 6 people who support people to do biodiverse woodland activity e.g. coppice, planting trees, clearing space for new growth, log splitting, hedge building.

  • We work with adults who have a love for the outdoors and want to get involved and want support or supervision with learning new tasks.

  • We are organised at two different woodland sites and engage in specific hedge and grass cutting activity with the Canal and River Trust.

Our Mission

  • Our mission is to promote independence through biodiversity and community involvement.

  • We support you to support others and to make a difference.
